هر چند در راستای افزایشمشارکتزنان در عرصة سیاسی در جوامع مختلف از جمله در ایران گامهاییبرداشته شده، ولی هنوز شاهدسهم ناچیززناندر هرم قدرت نظام سیاسی هستیم. لذا این پژوهش توصیفی-تحلیلی با استفاده از مراجعه به منابع نظری و مصاحبه کیفی با نمونة هدفمند از مقامات سیاسی اجرایی و نخبگان علمی آگاه به مسئله، به کشف و بررسی کلیدی‌ترین موانع دستیابیزنانبه مناصبسیاسیدر ج.ا.ا به قصد ارائة راهکارهای سیاستی برای کاهش و رفع این موانع می‌پردازد. نتایج پژوهش حاکی از آن است که تعابیر مردسالارانه با شکل‌دهی به سیستم سیاسی و به‌تبع کاستن تجربه و اعتمادبه‌نفس اجرایی زنان، موانع دستیابی زنان به مناصب سیاسی بوده‌اند. در پایان راهکارهایی سیاستگذارانه برای مواجهه با این مسئله پیشنهاد شده است.
