با توجه به وقوع همه گیری کووید-19 و ایجاد شرایط مغایر با روال عادی زندگی، بررسی آثار حضور این ویروس در سطح جهان و روش های مدیریت این بحران میتواند مسیر مطالعاتی و برنامه ریزی در این شرایط را هموار نماید. بدلیل پراکندگی در رویکردها و موضوعات مطروحه در این زمینه و عدم وجود یکپارچگی در ساختار و نظم در نتایج حاصل از این پژوهش ها، مقاله پیشرو مبتنی بر راهبرد فراتحلیل میباشد. نتایج پژوهش، بیانگر نیاز به ایجاد تاب آوری در نقاط مختلف جهان با توجه به افزایش بلایا و همه گیری ها می باشد. اطلاعات و فناوری مکانی با جمع آوری داده های مکانی و ارائه اطلاعات با استفاده از پیشخوان های مکانی و نرمافزارهای اطلاعرسانی، گام مؤثری در راستای کنترل و مدیریت این بحران می باشد. همچنین، بیشتر مقالات به ارائه پیشنهاد و راهکارهای قابل اجرا نپرداخته اند؛ بنابراین به تحقیقات بنیادی جهت حصول شناخت کافی و تحقیقات کاربردی جهت دستیابی به راهکارهای مطلوب نیاز است.
