جستجوی خوشبختی در چند دهه اخیر توجه متفکران، دولتمردان و سیاستگذاران را به خود جلب نموده است؛ از آنروی که تحقق و یا عدم تحقق خوشبختی، آثار گوناگون مستقیمی بر افراد جامعه خواهد داشت. توجه به شواهد تجربی و آمارسنجه های بین المللی، نشانگر ضرورت سیاستگذاری در حوزه خوشبختی در ایران است. همسو با این مسئله، سؤال نوشتار آن است که چه الگوی سیاستی برای ارتقای خوشبختی در ایران مناسب است؟ به این منظور، هدف و مسئله این پژوهش، تحلیل امکان سیاستگذاری حق جستجوی خوشبختی و بایسته های سیاستگذاری در این حوزه (مستخرج از رویکردهای سیاستگذاری کشورهای موفق) است. نتیجه آنکه، جستجوی خوشبختی به طور فزاینده روشی مفید برای هدایت و ارزیابی اثربخشی سیاست های عمومی محسوب میشود و از اینرو است که توجه لازم و بایسته به جستجوی خوشبختی شهروندان از سوی سیاستگذاران در قالب اجتماعی، اقتصادی و زیست محیطی بطور مستمر و مداوم در راستای منطق مصلحت عمومی و منافع ملی، امری ضروری و لازم به نظر میرسد.
