سندروم‌های توسعه، مجموعه های تکرارشونده چالش‌ساز سیاستگذاری اقتصادی هر کشوری بوده و به مفهوم آن است که اقتصاد سیاسی هر کشور با برخی از چالش‌های حل نشده همراه است. بحران توسعه، سندروم‌های خاص خود را داشته و این امر چالش‌هایی را برای اقتصاد، سیاست و ساخت اجتماعی کشورها به وجود می‌آورد. ایران از گذشته با برخی از مسائل حل نشده راهبردی روبه‌رو بوده است که از آن به عنوان سندروم‌های سیاستگذاری توسعه اقتصادی یاد می‌شود. این مقاله در چارچوب «رهیافت چالش‌های دولت توسعه‌گرا» با استفاده از روش‌شناسی توصیفی- تحلیلی و تکیه بر داده‌ها و فرآیندها موجود در پی پاسخگویی به این سؤال است که «سندروم‌های سیاستگذاری توسعه اقتصادی ایران دارای چه ویژگی‌هایی بوده و تحت‌تاثیر چه شرایطی ظهور و گسترش می‌یابد؟» یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که سندروم‌های سیاستگذاری توسعه اقتصادی ایران در قبل و بعد از انقلاب دارای نشانه‌های اجتماعی، اقتصادی، سیاسی و ساختاری بوده و تحت‌تأثیر عملکرد دولت رانتی، اقتصاد رشدمحور و نظام سیاسی، ظهور و گسترش یافته‌اند.
