بررسی چگونگی تأثیر حوزه عمومی مجازی بر مشارکت سیاسی

چکیده

با ظهور اینترنت و گسترش ابزارهای مبتنی بر آن، اندیشمندان حوزه علوم اجتماعی امیدهای زیادی را برای بازیابی مفهوم حوزه عمومی هابرماس در رسانه‌های جدید مطرح کردند. به‌دنبال پژوهش‌های انجام‌شده، دو دسته نتیجه قابل ذکر است: نخست آن دسته از مطالعاتی که بر امکان شکل‌گیری حوزه عمومی در فضای مجازی تأکید دارند و دسته دوم مطالعاتی که بر عدم امکان شکل‌گیری حوزه عمومی در فضای مجازی صحه گذاشتند. اما رویکرد سومی نیز وجود دارد که به امکان مهندسی حوزه عمومی مجازی اذعان می‌دارد. در این مقاله با تأکید بر رویکرد سوم تلاش می‌کنیم چگونگی تأثیر حوزه عمومی مجازی بر مشارکت سیاسی را مورد بررسی قرار دهیم. نتایج به دست آمده این فرضیه را تقویت می‌کند که بهره‌مندی از حوزه عمومی مجازی می‌تواند در تقویت مشارکت سیاسی مؤثر باشد.
