What is the typical time frame for the initial review?

The primary review, where editors assess the initial suitability of the manuscript, takes approximately 10 days.

What is the average time for the full peer-review process?

The average refereeing time, encompassing the full expert assessment and recommendation phase, is 4-8 weeks.

Is it OK simultaneously send a paper to various journal?



No. This is against the codes of COPE. If one does so, his/her article will not be published. In case it is already published, the article will be retracted. Then the name of the author(s) will enter our blacklist and no manuscript will be ever accepted from the author(s).



What is the acceptance rate?

The journal maintains a highly selective acceptance rate of 18%.

Does the journal charge any publication fees or APCs?

Yes, JPPOLICY is an open-access journal. Publishing an article in the Journal requires publication fees, that will be billed to the corresponding author following the submission and then acceptance of an article for publication. The fee to be paid following acceptance of an article is: 2,000,000 IRR.. for more information.

Do all the authors have to register on the website?

No. Only the corresponding author needs to do so.

When do I get the acceptance letter?

When all the revision needed is done and the reviewers and the editorial board have confirmed the manuscript, you will get the acceptance letter.

What can I do if I have forgotten my password?

Click the “Login” button at the top of the first page of the website. Click on "Forgot password" and you will be asked to supply your email address. You will then receive an email with further instructions to allow you to reset your .password

I’ve registered, but my account has not been activated. What should I do?

Once you have submitted your registration, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address given, containing a validation link to activate your account. Unfortunately these emails can be caught in spam filters. Please check for the email in your spam.

What kind of peer review process does JPPOLICY use?

The journal utilizes a double-blind peer-review process, meaning that both the authors' and reviewers' identities are concealed from each other throughout the evaluation.

What are the required article types?

JPPOLICY accepts submissions of both Research and Review articles.

What ethical standards does the journal adhere to?

The journal strictly follows the policies and guidelines of the COPE: Committee on Publication Ethics and adheres to its Code of Conduct in addressing misconduct issues.

How is originality verified?

The journal uses the Samim noor Plagiarism Detection Mechanism to screen all submitted manuscripts for originality and potential overlap with existing published work.

What citation style should authors use?

Authors are required to use the APA referencing style.

What are the copyright and licensing terms?

Authors retain unrestricted copyrights and publishing rights. The articles are published under a CC BY-NC 4.0. LICENSE (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/deed.en) license, allowing free access and non-commercial reuse, provided proper attribution is given.

Can I appeal an editorial decision?

Yes, authors may submit a formal appeal request to an editorial decision, provided it meets requirements and follows the outlined procedure. Only one appeal per submission is generally considered, and that decision will be final.
