Metaverse and Rethinking in Criminal Policy

Abstract

Metaverse as a new virtual realm, despite its good features, comes with many threats.This horrifying world for today and attractive for the future,  is developing and along with the benefits, has challenges and is considered as a new issue in criminal policy.The world of Metaverse, which creates digital images, gives to person a hypothetical experience of being real, puts him in a world completely simulated with the real world, to experience another life and draw his future world away from the limitations. The purpose of the article is to identify the types of potential crimes that can be committed as well as the hypothesis of punishment for the perpetrator.The increase in the number of users and the occurrence of new actions that can only be done in the metaverse and the need for policy are the issues that the article deals with.The author proposes to create a new branch called meta criminal law and considers it necessary to intervene in criminal policy.
