Abstract

Renewables, while meeting the energy demand, due to their ability to affect on growth and diversification of the economy as a solution of recession and increase carbon emission reduction requirements is proposed. In the meantime, the production of renewable power plant equipment is considered as an initial step in the development of renewables and a factor affecting industrial and economic growth. The present study has evaluated the effect of the development of the wind turbine equipment manufacturing industry on economic growth and employment in Iran using the dynamic systems cost-benefit analysis method. The results show the positive but conditional impact of domestic production of wind turbine equipment on economic growth and employment.
