A system of growth and development is achieved through establishing and institutionalizing of a systematic relationship of accountability and accountability between citizens and the government. The purpose of accountability is Improving human performance and forcing them to behave, based on calculation and reasoning. Accountability is a guarantee for the people to ensure that the government makes optimal use of public resources, and in fact in the sense of a commitment to accountability. The notion that the government has decided and that the citizens simply obey has nothing but the downfall of the government. This study seeks the system of accountability in the Islamic Republic of Iran from the perspective of the critical realism theory to pathologize Iran according to the desired pattern in religious texts and to provide the necessary recommendations for the realization of an efficient and desirable accountability system. وجود یک نظام پاسخگویی پویا و کارآمد، ضرورتی انکارناپذیر در تحقق توسعة پایدار است. نظامی به رشد و توسعه دست می‌یابد که یک رابطة نظام‌مند پاسخ‌خواهی و پاسخگویی را بین شهروندان و دولت، ایجاد و نهادینه سازد. هدف از پاسخگویی؛ سالم‌سازی عملکرد انسان و وادارساختن وی به رفتار مبتنی بر محاسبه و تعقل است. پاسخگویی، تضمینی برای حصول اطمینان مردم از استفادة بهینة دولت از منابع عمومی و در واقع به مفهوم تعهد به جوابگویی در مقابل مسئولیت پذیرفته‌شده می‌باشد. این پندار که دولت تصمیم گرفته و شهروندان، صرفاً اطاعت کنند، ارمغانی جز افول دولت ندارد. این مقاله درصدد است از منظر نظریة رئالیسم‌انتقادی، نظام پاسخگویی در ج.ا. ایران را با توجه به الگوی مطلوب در متون دینی مورد آسیب‌شناسی قرار داده و توصیه‌های لازم را در جهت تحقق نظام پاسخگویی کارآمد و مطلوب ارائه نماید. https://jppolicy.ut.ac.ir/article_79497_26d526cd8c10a667a6c57a1845cfd7db.pdf
